Opoka is a sedimentary rock
It is a transitional form between carbonate and silicate rocks, formed during the Upper Cretaceous period when the original rocks were calcified. It mainly consists of calcium carbonate and silicon dioxide, as well as magnesium and iron compounds.
Calcium (Ca) and silicon (Si) are the two main minerals found in Opoka rock. These two elements can provide significant benefits to the skin:
– Softens and moisturizes. Calcium and silicon can help soften and hydrate the skin by attracting water molecules. It can help reduce dry, itchy, and flaky skin.
– Damage protection. Calcium and silicon can help protect the skin from free radical damage. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage cells and cause premature aging.
– Increasing elasticity. Calcium and silicon can help improve skin elasticity by supporting the production of collagen and elastin. It can help reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
– Reduces inflammation. Calcium and silicon can help reduce inflammation by inhibiting the production of inflammatory cytokines. It can help relieve skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
